Chris McLaughlin, MSc, PhD
Prof. McLaughlin`s current (September 2024) professional positions include:
- full-time Executive Director since 2011 of the Bay Area Restoration Council (BARC), a local, registered, non-profit organization that represents the public interest in the restoration of Hamilton Harbour and its watershed.
- Adjunct Assistant Professor, School of Earth, Environment & Society, Faculty of Science, McMaster University, where he teaches environmental policy in the Arts & Science program.
- Co-Chair of the Advisory Board and member of the "Research Team", Global Center for Climate Change and Transboundary Waters, a collaborative, multi-institutional (USA and Canada) body established in 2023.
- Canadian Co-Chair (since 2019) of the Great Lakes Water Quality Board, the principal advisor to the International Joint Commission (IJC) under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement (USA-Canada, 1972-).
Chris has resided in the west-end of downtown Hamilton since 1996.

Concerning Our Recordings
- The video is limited to what was displayed to the audience on the large screen at the front of the lecture venue. We have no picture-in-picture video of our speaker at the podium.
- The audio was captured by the microphone at the podium and the lapel mike worn by our speaker. Questions from the audience were, as usual, too faint to be heard. (We always ask our speakers to repeat the question before starting their response.)
