The Hamilton Association for the Advancement of Literature, Science and Art

Personal information provided to the Assocation by persons applying for membership or standing as a friend of the Association is retained in a secure location and treated as confidential material.

We will not sell, give, share or otherwise disclose our membership or mailing lists to any person, corporation or agency for any reason except where required by Federal or Provincial law or for purposes of a financial or tax audit.

If you provide us with a Canada Post mailing address we will send our President's Annual Letter (to members and friends) and our annual brochure to that address, doing so in August to give you advance notice of our upcoming lecture series. We may also mail our brochure to you again in late December.

Official receipts for donations made during a calendar year, if not picked up at our January, February or March lecture, will be mailed to the postal address we have on file for you immediately before mailing. Donors are urged to inform the Association's Treasurer of any change of address that occurs after making a donation.

If you provide us with an email address we will send a short reminder to that address a few days before each lecture in our annual lecture series.

If we have to cancel a lecture or an event for which you have pre-registered and you have provided us with an email address and/or a telephone number, we will attempt to inform you about the cancellation by email and/or telephone.
